Explosive Countermeasures International, Inc. was founded in 1989 and is currently located in Delaplane, VA.  We have provided explosive countermeasures specialty services for close to 30 years with over 20 years providing complex canine support services across a dynamic threat matrix.  We have a proven track record, uncompromised quality and sterling reputation.

ECI provides a wide range of services that focus on realistic, cost-effective solutions to the challenging security issues posed by bombings.  ECI assists clients with bomb incident management and searches (including explosive detection dog services), development of planning, assessment, training, employee awareness, facility hardness and equipment resources to maximize incident prevention and response capabilities.

Our specialties include Explosive Detection Canine Teams, Mail Room/Access Control X-ray Interpretation Training, Access Control / Control Point Screening Courses & Services, Explosive Device Recognition & Searching Procedures, Managing Bomb Threats and Incidents, and Bomb Threat Plans. The company is operated and managed by a diverse team of professionals whose qualifications range from Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technicians, Project Trainers EOD/HAZMAT, Emergency Medical Technician, and Certified Environmental Trainer.

Our Canine Detection Teams currently protect some of the nation’s most critical infrastructure including sensitive government facilities; in many cases, for more than a decade. ECI’s commitment to service excellence is reflected in its long-term partnerships with our government clients. ECI is the recipient of the Department of Homeland Security’s SAFETY ACT certification and designation in qualified anti-terrorism technology. ECI provides the most experienced and qualified explosive detection canine teams in the industry. ECI trainers are former military canine supervisors qualified as MWD trainers. All senior management at ECI are certified in Homeland Security at Level V, and holds current DOD SCI Top Secret Clearance.
